The Opportunity
The FMO Employee Solutions Specialist works closely with P1 Service FMO customers, FMO contract managers, and P1 Service HR to effectively manage employee relations and support recruitment efforts for the FMO division. This role collaborates with various stakeholders to ensure the performance and professional development of embedded FMO staff, including leads, supervisors, and engineers.
The FMO Employee Solutions Specialist actively participates in the administration, operations, and business performance of the Facility Management Operations (FMO) Division, contributing to the achievement of the division's revenue and profitability goals.

What You'll Do

Talent Acquisition and Recruitment
  • Collaborates with P1 Service HR to initiate and manage the posting of FMO position openings.
  • Recruits qualified personnel through various channels, including job boards, trade schools, recruiters, and industry organizations, in coordination with P1 Service HR.
  • Conducts initial phone screenings, documents detailed candidate notes, and shares insights with hiring managers to support informed decision-making.
  • Coordinates and participates in on-site interviews with hiring managers and contract customers.
  • Drafts offer letters for selected candidates and submit for approval.
  • Partners with P1 Service HR Manager to regularly review and evaluate FMO staffing needs with customers and contract managers to ensure alignment with operational requirements.
  • Partners with P1 Service HR Manager to manage and update job descriptions for all FMO contract customer positions ensuring compliance.
  • Partners with P1 Service HR Manager to coordinate and conduct onboardings for new FMO employees, ensuring a smooth integration into the company and their respective roles.
  • Maintains accurate and up-to-date organizational charts for all P1 Service FMO contract locations.

Employee Relations and Performance Management

  • Schedules and participates in the annual P1 Service FMO personnel performance reviews process. 
  • Conducts employee one-on-ones as needed to maintain continuous employee engagement
  • Works closely with P1 Service HR team to support all P1 Service FMO employees coaching and disciplinary -issues and assist with all documentation. 
  • Assists P1 Service HR team with scheduling exit interviews with P1 Service FMO employees and arranges administrative matters that need to be completed with the employee.
  • Maintains accurate employee records and ensures compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

FMO Policy Development and Implementation

  • Participates in the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of FMO policies and procedures.
  • Develops Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) in collaboration with the P1 Service FMO Manager and FMO customer, ensuring continuous tracking and monitoring of local resources.
  • Assists with and coordinates reoccurring annual FMO administrative tasks ensuring timely completion of scheduled activities and compliance with internal processes.

Stakeholder Engagement and Communication

  • Establishes and maintains collaborative working relationships with customers, local unions (if necessary), and internal stakeholders.
  • Provides timely, accurate, and complete information to P1 Service FMO Managers and responds promptly to emails and phone calls from internal and external customers.

Training and Development

  • Helps identify training opportunities required to support the growth and development of P1 Service FMO personnel.
  • Assists the P1 Service HR Manager to define training requirements and coordinate training interventions that promote the professional growth of all assigned associates.
  • Coordinates with P1 Service HR all FMO site personal training documentation into personal folders

Qualifications

  • Required:
    • A high school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
    • One of the following education paths is required:
      • Bachelor’s degree (BS) in a business, human resources, or related discipline,
      • Or, Equivalent combination of business/HR related education and business/HR related work experience.
    • Minimum of 2 years of experience in employee relations, recruitment, or a related field, preferably within the facility management or service industry
  • Preferred: 
    • Master's degree in human resources, business administration, or related field
    • Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification
    • 5+ years of experience in employee relations and talent acquisition within the facility management industry
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Standard days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. This position will be required to be in the office 50% of the time and on site at location 50%. Evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
